The club have completed the signing of Premier League striker Marcus Forss from Brentford on a four-year contract.

The club beat off competition from a number of rivals to capture the signature of the Finland international ahead of the new season.

The striker was a near ever present in Brentford’s promotion winning side of 2021 when he scored 10 goals from 50 appearances.

The 23-year-old was given a taste of the Premier League in the early part of last season before ending the campaign on loan at Hull City.

The striker has 14 caps at international level and he has scored two goals.

"We're delighted to bring Marcus in," said boss Chris Wilder.

"He played a big part in Brentford winning promotion a couple of seasons ago, and he knows this league well.

"He's a good athlete and all-round player. We're really looking forward to what he can bring to the squad."

Marcus becomes Chris Wilder's sixth signing of the summer after Liam Roberts, Ryan Giles, Darragh Lenihan, Zack Steffen, and Tommy Smith.
