The lowdown on our first January arrival...

  • Aaron was born in Oranmore, County Galway in the Republic of Ireland on 28 January 2000.
  • In the summer of 2016, he joined Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion on a two-year scholarship after impressing on trial.
  • Aaron made his first team debut for the Seagulls as a 17-year-old, replacing Tomer Hemed in a 1-0 EFL Cup win over Barnet in August 2017.
  • After penning pro terms with Brighton in January 2019, he joined Luton Town on loan, and made his league debut while on loan with the club at the top of League One.
  • Returning to Brighton, Aaron’s first senior goal was in a 2-1 away win over Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup in August 2019. His league debut came four days later, replacing Neal Maupay in a defeat to Manchester City.
  • Aaron scored twice on his full Premier League debut in a 3-0 win for Brighton over Tottenham Hotspur in October 2019.
  • The striker would score once more that season, on the final day at Burnley, finishing on four for the campaign.
  • The next season was truncated by injury, but returned two goals for the forward, against Newcastle United and Wolves.
  • Aaron has made six appearances so far this season for Albion, and scored twice - both goals coming in a 2-0 win over Swansea City in the third round of the EFL Cup.
  • Aaron represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-17, U19 and U21 level, eventually making his senior international debut as a substitute for James Collins in a 0-0 draw with Georgia in October 2019. He has since been capped seven more times.
  • Aaron is yet to play against Boro's first team, but has featured three times against our Under-23s, scoring once. The last of the three games was in the PL2 play-offs, which Brighton's youngsters would go on to successfully earn promotion through, Aaron scoring in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the final.
