Calum Kavanagh is on the shortlist for the PL2 Player of the Month award for January.
Kavanagh, currently on loan at Harrogate Town where made his senior debut, is on a shortlist of eight after being recognised for a month that saw him bag seven goals in three games.
The Republic of Ireland U19 international netted twice in a 5-0 mauling of QPR, followed that with both goals in a 2-1 win at Aston Villa, and he rounded the month off with a hat-trick against Sunderland at Rockliffe in a 3-2 win.
The shortlist was chosen by the Premier League Football Development Panel after PL2 club coaches nominated the best performance by an opposing player in each of their league matches during the month.
Boro have a previous winner among the ranks as well with loan man Flo Balogun having been named PL2 POTM for November while impressing for Arsenal.
