MFC’s long-standing relationship with Close Protection Security continues to go from strength to strength, with the Teesside-based company extending their agreement as an Associate Partner.

The industry-leading security firm, who have worked with the club for several years, provide services at both the Riverside Stadium and our Rockliffe Park training complex.

The Associate Partnership arrangement sees the CPS branding around the Riverside on matchday, including LED advertising boards and the Big Screen.

2022 has already been a hugely successful year for CPS, winning an array of security contracts alongside their work with the Boro.

An active organisation within the Teesside community, CPS keenly support the club’s independent charity MFC Foundation, and also deliver a training academy with fellow Associate Partner Middlesbrough College to help students into jobs in the industry.

Shaun Woods, Operations Director at CPS, said: “We have worked closely with Middlesbrough FC for a number of years, and along with providing 24/7 security for the stadium and training ground, and also meeting the VIP security requirements of senior club staff and players, working with the football club has allowed us to advertise and showcase our business.”

Glenn Bartlett, Managing Director at CPS, added: “It is a pleasure to work with the club I have supported from an early age, as well as with MFC Foundation to support the local area.

“We utilise the excellent hospitality at the club to entertain our valued clients and this is a great way to relax and get to meet people out of the office environment. The club is important to the area so let’s all get behind the team.”

Liam McGuinness, MFC’s Head of Partnerships, said: “We have an excellent working relationship with Close Protection Security and we’re delighted to have their continued services and support. They are a great example of how our partnership and hospitality offerings can help a local business to thrive, and we’re looking forward to building on that strong understanding.”
