Young Boro midfielder Jack Stott has completed a loan move to York City, on a short-term basis.

The 19-year-old made 11 appearances for our Under-21s in 2022/23, netting the seventh in a high-octane 7-5 victory over north-east neighbours Sunderland.

Jack wore the captain's armband for the opening two U21s fixtures of the new campaign and scored our first goal of the season as Mark Tinkler's side were held at Nottingham Forest.

Included in the first-team picture for pre-season, Stott impressed with showings against Hartlepool, Rotherham, Bradford and York with the dynamic playmaker now heading to the National League side until January.

Everyone at the club wishes Jack the best of luck during his time at the LNER Community Stadium.
