Get to know new recruit number two.

Rav came through the ranks at PEC Zwolle, in the north-east Netherlands.

He was involved in the club’s first team setup from as young as 15, and made his senior debut as a 16-year-old in an Eredivisie match against Vitesse Arnhem.

Standing at 6ft3in, Rav is primarily a centre-back but has played across the backline.

Rav featured 21 times for PEC Zwolle in 2022/23 season, the team finishing second in the Eerste Divisie to gain automatic promotion to the Eredivisie.

He has represented his native Netherlands at every youth level from Under-15 to Under-20.

Rav is the younger brother of Sepp van den Berg, also a product of PEC Zwolle, who plays for Liverpool and made more than 60 appearances in two loan spells with Preston North End.

Rav will turn 19 on 7 July.

Reports had linked the defender to a host of European giants, including Roma, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
