A midweek trip to Bradford City has been added to Boro's schedule of pre-season friendlies.

The Teessiders will travel to Valley Parade, currently known as the University of Bradford Stadium, on Wednesday 26 July in a 7.30pm kick-off.

Bradford, managed by Mark Hughes, set a record attendance for the fourth tier last season, missing out on promotion to Carlisle United in the play-off semi-finals.

The Bantams have a number of familiar faces in their ranks; Richie Smallwood is captain, while the squad also includes fellow ex-Academy players Brad Halliday, Harry Chapman and Sam Stubbs.

The sides last met competitively in the Premier League back in 2001, a 1-1 draw.

Ticket information will be confirmed in due course.
