Matthew Hoppe was the star performer for San Jose Earthquakes as they marked the international weekend with a friendly against Honduran side CD Olimpia.

Hoppe scored one and created another to give the Earthquakes a 2-0 lead, but the visitors hit back with two of their own.

The striker has bagged three goals and an assist from his last five games.

San Jose face already-eliminated Austin FC this weekend on the final day of the regular MLS season - known as 'Decision Day' - hoping to secure their place in the post-season play-offs. 

Leyton Orient's climb up League One continued with Sol Brynn keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Carlisle. The Carlisle bench included former Boro defender Jack Robinson as an unused substitute.

Jeremy Sivi was an unused sub for Harrogate Town in their 3-1 defeat at home to Stockport County.

There was an FA Cup debut for Terrell Agyemang as a half-time substitute for Hartlepool United in their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chester.

In National League North, Jack Hannah played over 80 minutes for Darlington as they lost 2-1 to Kings Lynn. Jack has now returned to MFC at the end of his loan.

Ben Beals tasted victory in the Northern Premier League with Marske United beating Basford 1-0.
