By Middlesbrough FC

Boro fans are encouraged to opt-in to receive email communications from MFC should they wish to take part in an upcoming survey about the club crest.

In response to widespread fan feedback around the current crest, the club are exploring plans to introduce a new crest in line with our upcoming 150th anniversary, implemented for the 2026/27 season and beyond.

These plans were first announced in March, while there is also an ongoing tender process for a design company to work with the club on this project.

This initial fact-finding survey will be distributed to supporters who have purchased match tickets in the last five years, and who also are opted in to our ‘Club Information’ mailing database.

The survey will be sent later this week, meaning supporters should act now to update their communication preferences within their free MFC Digital Account.

The short survey will help inform us of the appetite for change and, if so, provide broad but important feedback as to how that change could look.

We recognise that the crest is among the most significant representations of our club and matters hugely to Boro supporters. The survey is merely the first step of an extensive process, with further, direct consultation between the club, appointed designer and supporters to be undertaken as the project develops.

How To Opt In

Supporters can manage the communication preferences within their free MFC Digital Account.

As well as club information emails, there is the option to opt in for updates on News, Ticketing, Retail, Events and Hospitality, as well as communication from club partners.

Supporters with accessibility requirements which would impact completing an online survey should please email our DLO, Rosemary Berks, on rosemary.berks@mfc.co.uk or call 01642 757671.
