Boro Under-21s were in action in Canada for the first time against Ipswich Town.
Mark Tinkler's side were held to a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town in a close contest at the weekend.
With both sides creating chances throughout the game it was Ipswich who took the lead through a direct free-kick. After going a goal behind Matthew Hoppe found the back of the net to draw the sides level.
In a tough test for both teams Nathan Simpson and Luke Woolston were the standout players for Boro in the U21s first game in New Brunswick.
After getting some more valuable minutes in pre-season, our U21s turn their attention to Halifax Wanderers who they face on Wednesday 24 July.
