The Yorkshire derby takes place this weekend with Boro Women heading to the Bannister Prentice Stadium to face Leeds United.
Read our write-up on the Whites ahead of this Sunday's game.
The background
Leeds sit on four points, finding themselves in 7th place with a win, a draw and a loss to their name so far.
The White's season started off with a loss to favourites Huddersfield Town in a tight game that could've gone either way but ended in the Terriers taking the points.
Since that opening day loss, Leeds have picked up pace going three games unbeaten, beating AFC Fylde and third tier Halifax and earning a respectable point against a solid Stockport County.
Last season Leeds finished in 6th place but a busy summer puts Leeds among a host of teams who will be challenging at the top end of the table this season.
Key players
Leeds were very active in the summer as far as transfers go, bringing in five new faces, which included Shauna Legge, Drew Greene and Ellie White who have all come from the division above, having all previously represented Halifax, adding plenty of third-tier quality and experience to the Leeds squad.
Jessica Rousseau was the top scorer in the division last season, racking up an impressive 25 goals in 27 appearances for the Whites and though she hasn't opened her account for the new campaign yet, she has come close and it won't be long until she does find the back of the net.
In midfield for Leeds is Sarah Danby who has bagged two goals already for the Whites in four starts, the same amount she managed in all 28 appearances last season - aside from the goals she has scored so far, Danby is a crucial part of the Leeds engine, keeping them ticking over in possession and offering a tough tackle when needed.
Past meetings
The last match-up between the sides ended in a 3-1 home Boro win, with goals Lauren Robson scoring directly from a corner to open things up with Jess Mett adding to the scoring in the second half and a Sarah Burn penalty late on securing the points for Boro.
The last time at the Bannister Prentice Stadium saw Boro bag an away win, Ellen Packham scored the only goal of the afternoon, finishing off a slick set-piece routine to take the win back to Teesside.
The previous five meet-ups before last season ended in three wins for Boro back in 2015 along with a two-all draw and a 1-0 Leeds win in the 2022/23 campaign.
