Bio

Adi Viveash was confirmed as a key part of Rob Edwards' coaching staff following his appointment in June 2025.

Born in September 1969, Adi began his football journey with hometown club Swindon Town, progressing through the Academy into the senior side. He represented Swindon more than 50 times before departing permanently in 1995 for Walsall.

Adi made more than 200 appearances for Walsall, spent two years at Reading and also had a year back at Swindon.

His playing career was completed with spells at Oxford United, Kidderminster Harriers, Aldershot Town and Cirencester Town.

It was at Cirencester that Adi’s coaching days began. He was appointed manager in May 2007 and spent 16 months in charge. He resigned from Cirencester to join Chelsea’s Academy as a coach.

Adi spent time as assistant Academy and assistant reserve team coach before being named Under-18 manager in July 2011. He was promoted to development squad manager in 2014, which saw him lead Chelsea’s Under-21s.

During his time at Chelsea, among the players Adi had a key hand in developing were Marc Guehi, Conor Gallagher, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount and Reece James. His departure from the Blues was confirmed in May 2017 but two months later he was back in work having been named assistant manager at Coventry City.

Adi was a key part of Coventry’s rapid progress over a seven-year period. Alongside Mark Robins, he led the Sky Blues to two promotions in three seasons, an appearance in the Championship play-off final and an FA Cup semi-final.

Among the players Adi helped develop at Coventry were Viktor Gyokeres, Gustavo Hamer and Ian Maatsen.

His time at Coventry came to an end in July 2024 and after almost a year out of the game, he returned with Boro.
