Bio

Born in the London borough of Greenwich, Marc joined the Arsenal academy at the age of 13 after he was spotted playing Sunday League football.

Also earning a scholarship with the Gunners, he progressed through their youth ranks before enjoying loan spells at Notts County and Bristol Rovers.

Marc left the Emirates for good in the summer of 2018, signing for League One Blackpool, where he made 43 appearances in his debut campaign and grabbed his first-ever goal in the EFL against AFC Wimbledon.

In his sole campaign at Bloomfield Road, he finished the season by winning the club's Player and Players' Player of the Year awards.

Signing for Boro in 2019, Marc made his debut, and scored, against Crewe in the Carabao Cup and followed that by making his league debut against Wigan Athletic at the Riverside later that month.

After a loan spell back at Bloomfield Road, Marc returned to the Riverside Stadium in 2020 and became a mainstay at left-back under Neil Warnock.

He was rewarded for his form with a new contract just before Christmas 2020, which runs until at least 2024.

Marc scored Boro's first goal of the 2021/22 season, a late equaliser on opening day at Fulham.
