Bio
Hailing from Derby, Morgan was born in January 2001.
He came through the ranks at Derby County, making his professional debut in August 2019.
The forward had been a shining light in the club’s Academy, impressing at various levels and in several competitions. He was part of the Derby team which won the Under-18s Premier League title in the 2018/19 season, scoring 24 goals and providing 14 assists in 28 appearances.
Morgan also impressed for the Rams in the UEFA Youth League, notching five times in four games in the continental competition.
During his time at Derby, Morgan represented England at Under-16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 levels.
In total, he made 32 senior appearances for Derby before making the move to Swansea City in February 2021.
He spent two-and-a-half years as a Swansea player, making 37 appearances while also having loan spells with Lincoln City and Plymouth.
His half-season loan at Lincoln in the 2021/22 campaign proved to be a major breakthrough for the forward, who scored five times in an impressive spell.
The next staging post in his development came at Plymouth Argyle, where he spent the first half of the 2022/23 season.
His nine goals helped set Argyle on their way to the League One title and promotion to the Championship.
Morgan then joined the club permanently in the summer of 2023 ahead of their first season in the second tier in 13 years.
His 19 goals in 46 appearances in the 2023/24 season were instrumental in ensuring Argyle would remain a Championship club.
He left Plymouth for Boro in January 2025 with a record of 33 goals in 103 appearances.
Morgan's final significant act as a Plymouth player saw him strike home a dramatic winner as Argyle sealed a shock 1-0 victory at Brentford in the FA Cup.
