Bio

Middlesbrough-born Sol joined the club’s Academy in 2009.

The goalkeeper attended England training camps and made good progress through our Under-18s and was part of the U23s scene for the 2018/19 season.

During the 2018/19 campaign, he made 13 appearances with our U18s and one with the 23s.

Sol stepped up to U23 level for the 2019/20 campaign, and was also included on the bench for our FA Cup ties against Tottenham Hotspur.

He was included in Boro's squad for a league game for the first time in the 2020/21 season, for games against Birmingham and Wycombe.

Sol joined Queen of the South on a season-long loan for 2021/22.

After getting his first loan spell in the 2022/23 campaign, he joined Swindon Town in League Two.

The young shot-stopper spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Leyton Orient, keeping 13 clean sheets in 45 appearances.

Sol made his first-team debut for Boro in the Carabao Cup win at Leeds United in August 2024.
