Caolan Boyd-Munce has been called up by Northern Ireland's senior side for the first time.

The young midfielder joins Boro teammate Paddy McNair in Ian Baraclough's squad for their friendly matches against Luxembourg and Hungary.

Boyd-Munce, 22, has featured regularly for Northern Ireland's youth sides up to and including Under-21 level, but this represents a first senior call as he replaces injured winger Matty Kennedy.

The other Boro player to as yet have his international duty confirmed for the coming window is Andraz Sporar - the striker has been included in the Slovenia squad for their friendlies with Croatia and Qatar.
