MFC Foundation’s Community Fundraising Coordinator Paul Murphy is planning a 110-mile bike ride to raise funds for the club’s charity partner.
On Wednesday 19 April, Paul will don the lycra and pedal from Hull City’s MKM Stadium to the Riverside Stadium as part of a squad of 18 aiming to complete the challenge before the sides’ scheduled Sky Bet Championship fixture.
The aim is to raise money for MFC Foundation and City's equivalent, Tigers Trust and a link to donate can be found at the bottom of this article.
As the club’s charity partner, MFC Foundation deliver bespoke programmes providing opportunities to raise aspirations and improve the life chances of people across our local communities.
Included in the 18 confirmed riders are three members of the Tigers alongside a number of our programme participants.
“It’s all about awareness and highlighting the work of both organisations and hopefully raising quite a bit of money along the way,” said Paul ahead of the bike ride.
The route will see Paul and his team land at the Riverside at around 6.30pm on the night of the game before speaking to Gary Phillipson in the Fan Zone.
“We want to arrive at the same time as the fans, so somewhere around six-thirty to seven o’clock,” added Paul. “We’ll cycle through the Fan Zone and hopefully have a word with Gary Philipson while we’re there.”
