Making the switch from Stoke City, Erin Nelson has joined Boro Women.

- Erin was born in Newcastle in October 2001.
- Her career started when she signed for the Newcastle Academy aged seven, where she would stay for four years.
- After Newcastle’s academy closed, Nelson moved on to grassroots football, where she first started at North Shields before shortly moving on to Bedlington.
- At 15, she moved to Durham’s Regional Talent Centre, where she made it to the FAWSL Cup final, beating Manchester United and Manchester City to get there.
- Nelson progressed through the ranks at Durham, moving to Durham Cestria and making her debut in Durham Women’s first team against Bristol City in the WFA Cup.
- Erin made her return to Tyneside at 20 years old, where she won back-to-back promotions, making it from the FAWNL Division One North to the Barclays Women’s Championship.
- At Newcastle she also reached the FANWL League Cup final played at Kenilworth Road, where the Magpies were beaten 2-1 by Hashtag United.
- From Newcastle, Nelson then made a move to Stoke City, where she reached her second FAWNL League Cup final in two seasons, with the Potters losing out 3-1 to Nottingham Forest.
