A personal thank you has been issued to Boro supporters from Saleh Saeed OBE, Chief Executive of the Disasters Emergency Committee, after the people of Teesside's significant donation to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

The DEC are leading on the appeal, delivering expert and immediate humanitarian aid including shelter, sustenance and support, to the Ukrainian people impacted by the Russian invasion.

Back in March, and shortly after the start of the conflict, the club donated its share of gate receipts from our Emirates FA Cup sixth round tie against Chelsea to the humanitarian appeal.

With the help of Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald, over £225,000 was contributed to those in need, part of an incredible £350m total so far raised by UK businesses and the UK public.

Saleh Saeed OBE, said: "Thank you for your support, and putting your trust in us, helping those who have fled Ukraine with basic essentials, medical care, trauma care.

"The funds that you have donated will be put to good use, not just for today and tomorrow but for the months and years ahead."
