Academy duo Ajay Matthews and Charlie Lennon are away representing England’s Under-17s in the Nordic Cup.
The pair travelled as part of a 22-man Young Lions group to Norway, for friendlies against the host nation, the Faroe Islands and Finland.
Both players came off the bench - Matthews’ debut at that level - in a 3-0 defeat to Norway in Sarpsborg on Saturday, and both started earlier today in a 3-0 win over the Faroes in Rade. The youngsters were uncluky not to combine for a goal when Matthews found the net from Lennon's cross in the first half, but the effort was ruled out for offside.
The third match, against Finland, is in Fredrikstad on Wednesday.
