Mark Tinkler’s Under-21s continued their fine start to the season with a hugely impressive win at Nottingham Forest.

Just as against Derby County last week, Boro got off to a flying start, and Finch fired Tinkler’s side ahead inside four minutes.
Hoppe was involved in the early goal and he had a shot blocked moments later. Finch was also denied by some good defending as Boro continued to make the running.
Joe Gibson was the provider on 12 minutes when Willis doubled the advantage with Boro in full control of the contest.
Liam Roberts was a virtual spectator in proceedings until shortly after the half-hour when he was called upon to claim a Lewis Salmon header.
Forest goalkeeper George Shelvey was the busier of the two and he was called upon once again before half-time when he denied Isaac Fletcher after a Boro corner.
Frankie Whelan was next to test Shelvey before the break as Boro looked for a third.

Forest made a triple change at half-time as they looked for better fortunes in the second period and after Julian Larsson sent a shot high and wide, Roberts was called upon again to deny Salmon.
But it was 3-0 shortly after the hour when Finch scored his second of the evening to further Boro’s advantage.
Tinkler made a couple of changes and Calum Kavanagh, who replaced Hoppe, made an immediate impact when he scored with his first touch of the night to make it 4-0.
Isaac Fletcher was denied by Shelvey before Salmon reduced the arrears with 15 minutes remaining.
There were no further scares as Boro saw the game out.
Tinkler's side are in action again on Friday when Stoke City visit Bishop Auckland (7pm).
