Josh Coburn was named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Week after finding the net once again for Bristol Rovers

The Boro loanee was on the scoresheet just two minutes into the contest at the University of Bolton Stadium, timing his run to perfection to latch onto the end of Anthony Evans' cross and prod home a right-footed finish inside the six-yard box.

However, the home side agonisingly hit back via a 94th-minute strike from substitute Dion Charles to snatch a point in the dying embers of the match.

The draw lifts Rovers up to 15th in the third tier, extending their impressive run of just one defeat in nine matches since Coburn made his debut.

In League Two, Sol Brynn started between the sticks for Swindon Town as the Robins looked to lift themselves back into the top six.

Though two goals, in four second-half minutes, saw the home side clinch a 2-0 victory.

In the National League North, Daniel Dodds started his 11th consecutive game for Darlington on Friday evening.

Following an initial floodlight failure that saw kick-off delayed by half an hour, Alun Armstrong’s outfit led the game by two goals to nil after 26 minutes.

But a first-half fightback from relegation-threatened Kettering Town had the away side back on even terms by the midway point of proceedings and some resolute second-half defending meant Darlington were forced to settle for a point at Blackwell Meadows.

The solitary point was enough to send the Quakers top of the division for a period of 24 hours but wins for Kings Lynn Town and Brackley Town, who faced north-east neighbours Spennymoor Town, have now seen Darlo drop to third.

In the National League, Kamil Conteh was unable to feature for Gateshead after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

The Heed were defeated 2-0 at home by Aldershot and are now four points off safety. Conteh is available for selection when Mike Williamson’s side host Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday 10 December.
