Preparations for the Boxing Day clash with Wigan Athletic were well underway at Rockliffe on Wednesday.

While the majority of the country is winding down towards the festive period, Michael Carrick's men are preparing for the sell-out visit of Wigan.

Those preparations will be fine tuned on Christmas Day with the squad training as normal in the morning.
