Hayden Coulson enjoyed a hearty win in the Scottish Premiership as Aberdeen put four past Hibernian.

Picking up a yellow card for a mistimed tackle on Ryan Porteous, the Boro loanee also risked getting himself into another bit of bother when he blasted a clearance into the side of an unsuspecting police officer.

Meanwhile, Zach Hemming tasted defeat across the border as Kilmarnock went down 3-2 at home to Livingston.

Leading at the interval, two second-half goals condemned Killie to successive losses with Chris Stokes turning through his own net. 

In the lower leagues, Daniel Dodds featured at right-back for Darlington as Alun Armstrong’s side sealed a 2-1 win at Kidderminster Harriers, jumping up to second in the National League North.

Kamil Conteh netted a first goal for Gateshead since joining the National League outfit at the start of October.

The midfielder rifled in an equaliser in their eventual 3-2 defeat to Stevenage in the First Round of the FA Cup, finding the net with a fierce left-footed strike from outside the area.

After linking up with Spennymoor Town, on a short-term loan until January, Isiah Cornet watched from the sidelines as Moors recorded a first win in four matches, beating promotion-hopefuls Gloucester City 3-0 at the Brewery Field.

Bryant Bilongo made his debut as a late substitute for Woking in their 1-0 win against Yeovil Town, which lifts the Cardinals into the play-off places. 

In the Championship, Joe Lumley and Grant Hall started for Reading and Rotherham as both sides suffered 2-1 home defeats, losing to Preston North End and Norwich City respectively.

Despite their superior rank in League Two, Swindon Town and Sol Brynn suffered a heavy loss in the FA Cup, losing 4-0 at the hands of Stockport County.
