Boro's Under-21s sealed a comprehensive Premier League Cup win over Watford on Saturday.

Calum Kavanagh did the early damage, scoring twice within four first-half minutes in what was a behind-closed-doors contest at the Riverside. Defender Jack Hannah, who signed a new contract with the club earlier in the week, added a third in stoppage time at the end of the first period.

A fourth goal from substitute AJ Bridge added gloss to the Teessiders' success in the 90th minute.

The victory leaves our youngsters in second place in Group C at the halfway stage of the groups stage, with the return lfixture at Watford the first of three cup away days to come over the next month.
