Boro 18s recorded a third straight win in the Premier League thanks to two blistering second-half strikes against Everton.

Law McCabe’s first-time finish and a wicked free-kick from Luke Woolston saw Lee Cattermole's side take maximum points from October and Boro are now just three points shy of the league summit.

After a cagey opening 45, Rio Patterson-Powell’s dogged determination proved fruitful down the right.

Despite going to ground under a needless challenge, the Boro wideman picked himself back up and allowed his feet to do the talking, swinging in a delicious ball that was expertly converted into the bottom left corner by McCabe.

And when Boro were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area, Woolston sealed the victory with a stunning set-piece, bent low into the corner at the keeper's side.

Cattermole's charges will now turn their attention to the Premier League Cup with Ipswich Town the visitors Saturday 5 November.
