Factfile on new forward...
Emmanuel was born on 1 January 1999, in Marcory, Côte d'Ivoire.
His youth career was with Atalanta, where he emerged onto the scene with 20 goals in 25 games in the Under-17s Campionato Nazionale in 2015/16. He added to his tally with a hat-trick against Fiorentina in the finals stage of the competition, and also played as the Bergamo club beat Roma, Juventus and then Juventus to secure the championship title.
Emmanuel then played in the Under-17 Supercoppa with Atalanta the following season, coming off the bench and scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Pavia.
He was a regular in the Primavera Under-19 competition for Atalanta in 2016/17, scoring nine times in 20 games as his side topped the table.
In August 2016, Emmanuel was handed his senior Atalanta debut as a substitute in a 3-0 victory against Cremonese in the Coppa Italia. His first goal for the club was in the later rounds of the same competition, in a 3-2 defeat to Juventus.
Emmanuel then cut his teeth in a series of loans with sides lower in the Italian football pyramid. He played 18 times for Pistoiese and 17 times for Carrarese, both in Series C, in 2018/19, and 19 times for Idolise and 5 times for Pianese in the same division in 2019/20.
His full 2020/21 campaign was spent with Pro Patria in the Italian third tier, where he scored 11 times in 36 appearances.
Emmanuel was then loaned to Serie B side SPAL in 2021/22, where he scored three times in 18 games - including a dramatic injury-time equaliser against Brescia which helped secure his side’s survival.
There was another change of scenery for Emmanuel last year, where he joined St Gallen. He’d play a total of 34 times for the Swiss Super League side, scoring 16 times and providing four assists.
