Marske United manager Graeme Lee has thanked Boro fans for supporting the ailing Northern Premier League club ahead of our game against Hull City on Wednesday.

Following the sudden news that the Seasiders need to raise £120,000 in just two weeks to ensure they can continue as an NPL club, Marske fans organised a bucket collection at the Riverside this week.

Over £2,000 was raised and Lee, who cut his coaching teeth working with our Under-21s before joining Hartlepool United as manager, was quick to thank the Boro fans.

"The support has been fantastic from all over," he said.

"I can't thank people enough for the way they have got behind us and for the support the Boro fans gave on Wednesday.

"Marske is a great community club in the area, and I think people understand that and want to help us."

Marske have also set up a JustGiving page to assist with their fundraising and explain their current situation .
