Boro have completed the signing of Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old becomes Michael Carrick's first signing as Head Coach, and the club's first acquision of the January transfer window.
Archer, a product of the Villa academy, was a hit on loan with fellow Sky Bet Championship side Preston North End last term, scoring seven times in 20 appearances.
An England youth international with four goals in four appearances for the Young Lions' Under-21 side, he adds extra competition among what has already proved a fruitful frontline for Boro under Carrick so far.
Cameron will wear the number 10 shirt for Boro.
