All the info on our first January arrival...

  • Born in Walsall in December 2001, Cameron joined the Aston Villa academy at the age of eight after a brief spell at his hometown club.
  • Progressing through the Villans youth ranks, the forward regularly turned out at a higher age bracket, scoring his first goal for Villa’s U18s as a substitute whilst only 15.
  • After impressing the following campaign, Cameron was promoted to the under-21 set-up, ending the 2018/19 season with three goals and an assist in seven matches.

 

  • He made his senior debut for Aston Villa in August 2019, replacing Keinan Davis for the final eight minutes of their 6-1 Carabao Cup win over Crewe Alexandra.
  • Enjoying a loan spell at National League outfit Solihull Town at the back end of 2020, the young striker scored his first goals in senior football by hitting two in a 5-0 romping over Kings Lynn Town with his short-term deal extended until the end of the season.
  • Cameron made his first start for Villa in August 2021, bagging a hat-trick in a 6-0 Carabao Cup victory at Barrow while also scoring against Chelsea in the next round.
  • He made his Premier League debut at Old Trafford three days later, coming on as an 86th-minute substitute in Villa’s 1-0 win.
  • Registering six goals during the EFL Trophy group stage, Cameron ended the 2021/22 campaign as the competition’s top scorer, also winning Player of the Round (Round 1).
  • The forward joined Preston North End on loan in January 2022, scoring seven goals in 20 games as well as notching just 12 minutes into his debut.
  • Penning a new five-year deal at Villa Park in the summer, Cameron received his first call-up for England U21s in May 2022 and has bagged four in four for the young lions.
