US international Matthew Hoppe has joined SPL side Hibernian on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old will head for the Easter Road in the hope of gaining some valuable game time in the Scottish Premiership.

He has found opportunities limited since his summer arrival at Boro and has featured only six times from the subs' bench.

He has netted five in five for our Under-21s, but with the form of Chuba Akpom, Marcus Forss, Matt Crooks, the arrival of Cameron Archer, and the loan of Rodrigo Muniz, the opportunity to play regular football in Scotland will benefit all parties.

Matt joins Hibs on the back of winning two more international caps after representing his country against Serbia and Colombia earlier this week.
