Boro have brought in Sam Silvera from Central Coast Mariners for an undisclosed fee.

The attacking midfielder, 22, has signed a three-year contract with the club.

Sam enjoyed a blistering 2022/23 campaign, scoring eight goals and providing five assists to help the Mariners win the A-League Championship for the first time in ten years.

Born in London before moving Down Under, he has represented the Australian Under-23 side.

Boro saw off reported advances from other Sky Bet Championship sides to secure the promising talent, who adds further flair in the forward areas for Michael Carrick’s side following the acquisition of Alex Gilbert.
