James Marwood has been appointed as the club’s new Under-18s lead coach.

Marwood stepped into the role as caretaker U18s lead coach in February this year following the departure of Lee Cattermole.

Marwood said: “I’m passionate about the development of young players, and this is a great opportunity.

“Having been involved for the last five years or so, I know the importance of the Academy here and what it brings to the football club.”

The former Gateshead and Forest Green Rovers forward joined our Academy as U18s Assistant Coach in July 2018.

Marwood will be assisted by former Doncaster Rovers defender Rob Jones, who previously led our U16s.
