If you are travelling to Sunderland on Saturday, please take note of the following information...

Travel

Coaches/Minibuses

  • Anyone organising a coach/minibus to Sunderland is required to advise the police. Organisers should email the police here.
  • Coaches/minibuses will travel in convoy under police escort from the Riverside Stadium, departing at approximately 10am. Unofficial coaches are asked to please arrive by 9.30am. 
  • Other coaches not able to travel to the Riverside Stadium should meet at Hawthorn Services on the A19 by 10.15am where they can join the convoy at approx 10.30am.

Train

  • There is a special train travelling from Middlesbrough to St Peters Station, Sunderland. This departs at 11am and will arrive at 11.50am. Fans can also use earlier service trains. Please check with Northern Rail for times.

Stadium

  • Turnstiles will open at 10.30am
  • Enhanced searches will take place at the turnstiles so please try and arrive early.
  • No vapes, battery packs, or coins are permitted inside the stadium.
  • Any coins collected upon entry will be donated to a charity of MFC's choice.
  • The concourses are completely cashless.
  • Boro supporters will be asked to remain in their seats at full-time to allow the main home crowd to disperse, concourse bars will remain open.
  • Disabled Boro supporters who are unable to climb the steps to the seating deck should enter via the Black Cats Bar rather than standard turnstiles.

Sunderland Licensed Bars

  • There are NO pubs in the town centre or Stadium of Light vicinity who are prepared to admit Boro supporters. All Boro fans should head directly to the stadium where concourse bars will be available.
