One of our players had that winning feeling and another made his first steps on the international stage in the latest round of matches.
Paddy McNair's Northern Ireland were finally able to taste victory again on Saturday after a tough start to their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.
Two goals in the opening 15 minutes from Paul Smyth and Josh Magennis were followed by a Conor McMenamin goal 10 minutes from time to earn a 3-0 win against San Marino at Windsor Park.
They now face Slovenia in Belfast on Tuesday.
In the same group, there was disappointement for Marcus Forss and Finland as they went down 3-0 in Slovenia.
Three first half goals - former Boro striker Andraz Sporar creating one - proved enough for Slovenia to extend their lead over third-placed Finland to four points.
Forss played the final 13 minutes of the game.
Elsewhere, Academy youngster Eric Hamelberg made his debut for England U17s against Norway at St George's Park, above.
England twice went in front in a 2-2 draw that saw Eric play for 71 minutes of the contest.
