We're set for a record attendance when Boro Women make their Riverside bow next week.

More than 1,000 tickets have already been snapped up for the team's match against Stockport County Ladies on Sunday 17 September (2pm).

It's set to be a new record crowd for the Boro Women as they make their maiden Riverside appearance on the back of becoming officially affiliated with the club over the summer.

After 700 supporters watched the team pick up a point on the opening day against neighbouring Norton & Stockton Ancients, Wednesday saw a first win of the season and this new era, Teessider Abby Towers scoring the game's only goal in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Durham Cestria in Redcar.

Next Sunday promises to be another special occasion as Boro Women run out at the Riverside for the very first time.

Admission is £10 adults and £5 concessions.
