Abby Towers scored the only goal of the game towards the end of the first-half, when Lauren Robson’s chipped corner bounced off the crossbar, confusing the defence, before being tapped back across goal for Towers to finish for her first goal of the season.
Boro’s next home game sees the Women take to the pitch of the Riverside Stadium for the first time ever to face Stockport County. Tickets are still on sale through the link at the bottom of this page, join us next Sunday and be a part of Boro Women history.

Pre-Match Quotes
Head coach Michael Mulhern addressed this weekend’s test at Leeds following our victory against Durham Cestria on Wednesday night by saying:
"It’s another tough game as we’ve got to head down there. This month as a whole is really tough, we’re playing everybody who did well last season and are fancied to do well this season.”
“It hasn’t been an easy start, but now we know after beating last years 2nd placed team, we know we can have a go at anybody and there’s no reason why we can’t go on a little run and get three points at Leeds.”
“It’ll be tough but at least we’re going there in good spirits and with the confidence that we need.”
