MFC have issued an invitation to tender as we seek an external design company to work with on the creation of a new club crest.
It was announced in March that the club are exploring the possibility of a new crest, to be introduced at the start of the 2026/27 season and in line with the club's 150th anniversary celebrations.
As outlined in the tender document below, we're aiming to commission a design company who share the club's values, and can prove their experience, ability and creativity before working together with us on this exciting project.
The involvement of the Boro supporters will form an integral part of the process, so we're looking for a company that is strong on consultation and collaborative thinking.
At this stage, we are NOT looking for proposed designs of what the new crest could or should look like. The design process will only begin alongside the consultation with supporters, and as such we do not wish to prejudice or predispose that process.
This consultation with supporters will begin in the closed season, and in the meantime we'd urge supporters who want to be involved to opt-in to club communications in the preference centre of their MFC Digital Account. More details on this will follow in due course.
