A goal from Fin Cartwright wasn't enough for Boro's Under-18s as they lost out to Blackburn Rovers at Rockliffe on Tuesday.

Nathan Dlamini had given Rovers an early lead before Cartwright levelled things up with 27 minutes played.

The visitors, though, sealed the win through Zack Stritch in the second half, the three points enough to leapfrog Boro in the table by virtue of goal difference.

James Marwood's Boro side have two fixtures left to play this season, both north east derbies.

First, they travel to Sunderland this Saturday in an 11am kick-off, before hosting Newcastle United next Tuesday at the Riverside. Ticket information for the Newcastle match can be found here, with Season Card holders getting free entry.
