A big game at the top of the table is in store for Boro Women this Sunday.
Boro Women sit top of the table coming into Sunday's game with Barnsley joint-second three points behind.
Boro will be looking to extend their lead at the top with a win against Barnsley who hold two games in hand on Boro.
Despite being below their usual standards last week against York, Boro will take confidence coming into this Sunday's game, knowing they can win 'ugly' and take three points despite being below par.
Boro still have a perfect record in 2024 and remain unbeaten in 14 league games, last losing in September 2023.
Tickets cost £5 for adults, while Season Card holders will pay just £2.50 this weekend. As ever, Under-16s go free. Tickets are purchased on the gate, card only. Please display physical/digital Season Cards on entry to gain discount.
Opposition
Barnsley have hit a slight bump in results recently, defeated twice by Durham Cestria in back-to-back league fixtures, losing 3-2 in their last game.
Their last win in the league was against Chester Le Street, winning 5-3 in their opening game of 2024.
Barnsley have remained top of the league for the majority of the season and are many people's favourites for clinching the league title.
They also recently progressed in the cup, in an entertaining 3-3 draw with Hull, which went all the way to penalties where Barnsley won 4-2.

Previous Encounter
Last time out against Barnsley saw Nichole Havery make her debut in a 0-0 draw.
It was an evenly matched contest where chances at both ends could have seen either team take the three points home.
Being early on in the season, it was a good test for Boro as the new team began to bond.
Barnsley saw a lot of the ball early on, and tested Laura Wareham from distance a number of times in the opening 10 minutes.
Chances came for both teams but it was Barnsley who would have been more disappointed in not taking home the win as Louise Biggins missed a big chance in the 87th minute, blasting wide of the post.
Boro managed a few late chances themselves, and could’ve snatched a very late winner when substitute Millie Bell connected with a corner, but her header didn’t call the goalkeeper into action.
Until recently the goalless draw was the only time Barnsley had dropped points all season.
