Matt Crooks has completed his move to MLS side Real Salt Lake.
The 30-year-old joins the Utah-based club for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year contract.
Crooks signed for Boro from Rotherham United in summer 2021 and has made 115 appearances for the club, scoring 23 times.
Boro was the longest stopping point of his career so far, and the player will be remembered with affection by many.
Crooks netted some vital goals, not least at Old Trafford in the FA Cup two seasons ago, when his equaliser against his boyhood club paved the way for a memorable penalty shoot-out success.
That same season he fired a stoppage time winner against Reading, and he also bagged an injury-time winner at Norwich City last term.
Off the field, Crooks was named as Community Player of the Year for his contribution to the club’s work with charities and good causes.
Matt departs with the best wishes of all at MFC.
