Riley McGree has pledged his future to the club by signing a new contract.

The Australian international has put pen to paper and extended his stay on Teesside for another four years. 

He joined the club back in January 2022 from Charlotte FC after impressing on loan at Birmingham City.

Riley has become an integral part to Michael Carrick’s side making 43 league appearances in the 2022/23 campaign and scoring on six separate occasions.

Despite a disrupted 2023/24 season the versatile midfielder still manged to score four goals in 22 appearances in the EFL Championship. 

The Boro head coach was delighted to see the Aussie's future secured and he said: "Riley is an important part of our squad. He's a a good lad and he has a great attitude.

"We're all about building things here, and this is further demonstration of that."

The 25-year-old's initial Boro deal was due to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.
