Boro’s first team players are due to return to Rockliffe on Monday 24 June, so make sure you’re following our social media channels for all the behind-the-scenes content as pre-season preparations get underway.
That’s quickly followed by Fixture Release Day, with Sky Bet Championship clubs discovering their calendars for the new campaign from 9am on Wednesday 26 June. Check back to mfc.co.uk and our social channels to find out Boro’s fixtures first.
Season Tickets are also due to go back on sale later in June, please watch this space for selling arrangements and all the details.
Boro’s new kits are always a summer talking point, and fans will be able to get their first glimpse in the first week of July.
Michael Carrick’s squad jet out to Portugal from Sunday 7 July, and we’ll be on hand to bring you all of the best content from the Algarve.
Returning to these shores after a week of warm-weather training, it’s then time for a series of first-team friendlies. First up we host Bolton Wanderers at Bishop Auckland’s Heritage Park, before trips to Gateshead, Doncaster Rovers and Harrogate Town. The pre-season schedule concludes with a Riverside friendly against Robin van Persie’s Heerenveen on Saturday 3 August.
The season gets underway for real a week later, with the first round of Sky Bet Championship fixtures taking place the weekend of Saturday 10 August.
Meanwhile, the club’s plans to develop a new crest are continuing over the summer.
Boro fans are advised to opt-in to club communications in the preference centre of their MFC Digital Account as we prepare for an initial fact-finding survey which will be distributed by email to supporters in July. More details will be shared in advance of the survey being sent.
This is just the first stage of an extensive consultation with our supporters over the course of the project, with plans for the new crest to be in place in line with the club’s 150th anniversary in the 2026/27 season.
