SeatGeek, the high-growth technology platform transforming the live event experience for fans, teams and venues, has announced a multi-year renewal with the Boro.
The renewal extends SeatGeek’s role as the club’s primary ticketing technology partner.
"We've been incredibly impressed with SeatGeek's commitment to revolutionising the fan experience," said a club spokesman. "Their innovative ticketing technology has seamlessly integrated into our operations, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and further improving the match day journey for our loyal supporters.”
After five seasons, the club has chosen to renew its partnership with SeatGeek, citing the platform's cutting-edge backend technology and its track record of successful partnerships with top-tier sports entities across the UK. This renewal reaffirms the company’s dedication to collaborating with Middlesbrough FC to modernize the digital ticketing experience by fast-tracking the adoption of Mobile Season Tickets and Match Tickets, ensuring fans at The Riverside Stadium enjoy a more efficient ticket-buying experience.
"When Middlesbrough approached us in 2019, our focus was elevating the fan experience and optimising customer service using our powerful ticketing technology," said Peter Joyce, Managing Director, EMEA at SeatGeek.
"Since then, I’m delighted that we have not only met but exceeded the club's expectations for an enhanced match day experience. We're thrilled to continue our partnership, equipping the club with the latest technology to deliver an exceptional experience for club staff and all supporters visiting The Riverside Stadium."
SeatGeek has netted a remarkable expansion in football across the globe. Today, SeatGeek’s UK portfolio includes nearly half of the Premier League, including Manchester City, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, as well as clubs across the EFL Championship, including Leicester City, Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Stoke City.
Across the pond, the company works with several clubs within Major League Soccer (MLS), the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the United Soccer League (USL). Late last year, SeatGeek also announced its new role as the USL’s Official Ticketing Partner.
