Winger Charlie Lennon has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The Spennymoor-born teenager signs an initial two-year deal, taking him up the summer of 2026.

The contract is seen as reward for the youngster's progress in the Academy.

The England Youth international joined Boro's Academy at the age of nine and joined on a scholarship in the summer of 2022.

Since then he has racked up around 50 appearances for our U18s and has also featured twice for our U21s.

Charlie has also trained with Michael Carrick's first team squad.
