We're celebrating 50 years since Jack Charlton's record-breaking champions season.

We go back to 1973/74 when Boro swept all before them en route to winning the then second division by a whopping 15-point margin. And that was in a era when wins were only worth two points and not three!

Boro went top in September and stayed there for the remainder of the season, losing just four games. The run included nine successive victories between February and April.

Promotion was confirmed during the winning streak - before the start of April - and Ayresome Park saw an 8-0 hammering of Sheffield Wednesday in the final home game to wrap up a wonderful record-breaking campaign.

We're delighted that many members of the magnificent squd have pledged their support to attend the event and guests already confirmed include Graeme Souness, Jim Platt, John Hickton, Alan Foggon, Malcolm Smith, Brian Taylor, Jimmy Cochrane, Tony McAndrew, David Mills, Peter Creamer and hopefully Stuart Boam*.

The dinner event is in the Riverside Stadium’s Legends Lounge on Thursday 9 May.

Priced at £50pp (inc. VAT) tickets include an arrival drink and two-course meal, as well as after-dinner interactive analysis of our 1973/74 journey and a live Q&A with the former players.

You can also upgrade to a VIP ticket for £75pp (inc VAT) which adds a pre-event meet and greet and photo opportunity with the 1973/74 team.
