Love Football. Protect The Game

We support the introduction of strong measures to help address unacceptable issues across the professional and grassroots game.

Fans are reminded that missile throwing and discriminatory chanting could lead to suspension and criminal proceedings being issued.

Two people have been successfully prosecuted for possessing pyrotechnics - following the games against Coventry City at the Riverside and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

For the Sheffield Wednesday match all bottled drinks in the South Stand will be decanted into plastic glasses.  Supporters should additionally not bring their own plastic bottles, including soft drinks, to the game.

MFC is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and creating a welcoming environment for all supporters at the Riverside, away matches and in the wider community.

We condemn all forms of hate crime and discrimination in the strongest possible terms, and urge supporters who witness any such incidents to please report them to the club.

On Matchday

  • Text the MFC Equality, Diversity and Inclusion text line on 07340 718965, giving full details of the incident and which stand, row and seat it took place if possible. The text will be sent to the matchday safety team who will investigate via steward intervention as well as direct or remote observation
