By Middlesbrough FC

Saturday's game is our designated Remembrance Game when we will be paying tribute to all those servicemen and women who have lost their lives for our great country.

We would ask all fans to observe a moment's silence ahead of the match. It will begin on the referee’s whistle and end on the playing of The Last Post.

The playing shirts will also carry a poppy logo and will be auctioned off next week. The club will be hosting the year's auction to ensure all proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion and there will be no commission fee to any third-parties.

We will be joined by current and former servicemen and women from:

  • The Royal British Legion
  • The Royal Airforce Association
  • Royal Military Police
  • Royal Logistic Corps
  • Royal Marine Reserves
  • The Light Dragoons
  • Royal Yorkshire Regiment

Love Football. Protect The Game.

We support strong measures to help address unacceptable issues across the professional and grassroots game.

Fans are reminded that missile throwing and discriminatory chanting could lead to suspension and criminal proceedings being issued.

One individual was recently handed a three-year football banning order and costs of almost £1,000 following discriminatory chanting at the Chelsea game last season.

Fans should be aware that our stewards are now equipped with body cameras.
