The club is set to trial a licensed standing area with the temporary installation of independent barriers in two rows in the upper tier of the South Stand.
The barriers will be installed in the upper rows of Blocks 58-60 and will be in place for the visit of Millwall on Saturday 14 December.
The club has taken the decision after extensive discussions with the local Safety Authority Group and the Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA).
The club has contacted Season Ticket holders in the rows where the barriers will be installed.
Fans who travelled to Leeds United, Sunderland, Derby County or Queens Park Rangers this season will be familiar with independent barriers and licensed standing.
The barriers will be in place for the remainder of the season.
