A host of Boro first-team players from the men’s and women’s teams and club coaches will be joining some very special caring children at the club’s Champion Children’s Christmas Party at the Riverside on Wednesday 18 December.
The club will be honouring Champion Caring Children from the local area and we want to give a special treat to youngsters who have looked after siblings who have been fighting illness or have sadly lost parents or siblings in tragic circumstances.
Other youngsters could shop for an elderly neighbour or regularly care for a sick relative. We want to give our Champion Caring Children a fun-filled afternoon where they can forget about the difficulties they face in their daily lives.
The Boro Champion Children judged to be the most deserving will be on the VIP guest list for a party that promises to be one of the best on Teesside.
Supporters are invited to nominate youngsters for coveted places at the Champion Children’s Christmas Party. Entries must be sent to supporters@mfc.co.uk by the closing date of Wednesday 27 November.
Adding to the fun will be a visit from Father Christmas and Rudolph the Reindeer and friends, and lots of fun creative activities courtesy of Barnardos, Everyone Active, Hollywood Bowl, McDonalds, Nandos, Ninja Warrior, and our own MFC Foundation.
Each child attending will receive a book from the National Literacy Trust – Middlesbrough Reads Campaign.
One lucky family will also get the chance to watch the players warm up at the Riverside with Official Principal Partners BOXT kindly donating their BOXT Bench for one home game.
The party will also feature Boro mascot Roary the Lion, Bee-Active from Everyone Active, a magician and a caricaturist with food and music laid on.
Special Festive Supporters Afternoon Tea
On the same day, Wednesday 18 December, a number of first-team players and coaching staff will be in attendance at our Special Festive Afternoon Tea with nominations also taking place for this event.
